Next Stop: Walk around town and shop at our locally owned shops downtown. No strip mall here! Find your inpiration for your next bead creation at Beadniks or find your Brattleboro souvinier at the Vermont Shop on Main St.
Lunch: Enjoy a falafal feast at Yalla Yalla on Main St.
Afternoon Stop: Step into Vermont Center for Contemporary Photography and fill your eyes and soul with the talent that abounds. Check out new photography thrift shop next door. And speaking of thrifting Experienced Goods is right across the alley. This thrift shop that benfits Brattleboro Area Hospice is overflowing with finds youn must have!
Dinner: Eat overlooking the Conneticut River at the Whestone Brewery & Restaurant and plan your next day….. how about a paddle in the meadows?
Start with a yoga class at Bodhi Fit and then continue the relaxation over a smoothie or vegetable juice at Superfresh Cafe. Choose a window seat and you will see and hear the Whetstone Brook down below as you recharge.
1/2 Day Activity: The Retreat Farm trails and the children’s farm and forest. A fantastic way to connect with nature and animals.
Refresh yourself with a dip in one of swimming holes. If you travel just north on the West River, you’ll encounter some lesser-known southern VT swimming holes. Stroll down the gravel beach and get a enjoy a view of the ever-charming Town Lattice covered bridge. A bit further up the river, you’ll encounter a giant rock and another deep swimming hole.
Dinner out at TJ Buckley’s or Shin La or one of the many other restaurants in town but whatever you do don’t miss the bar at Peter Havens for a classy first cocktails or a taste at the Hermit Thrush Brewery on High St.
