2026 Season: May-December

Brattleboro First Fridays & Gallery Walk

First Fridays are Ultra-Festive Block Parties on Elliot Street & Harmony Lot. Vehicles are kicked out for the night and instead you can find all sorts of people-y fun.

The MAKER’S MARKET at First Fridays: Elliot Street is transformed into an artisan market featuring 30+ rotating makers, upcyclers, and artists. New this year, DBA is supporting Local Booth Grants allowing greater accessibility for artists to participate.

LIVE MUSIC at First Fridays: Every month Harmony Lot becomes Brattleboro’s FREE outdoor concert hall. For May, we welcome Juice and Emily Margaret Band to the stage. Juice is a five piece NYC act- tight grooves, radiant harmonies, jaw- dropping solos. Big stage energy packs an unforgettable punch. The Emily Margaret Band has won Brattleboro’s hearts with their unforgettable R&B inspired sound.

FOOD TRUCK FOOD COURT: We welcome 10-15 food trucks to Harmony Lot each month. You can grab something quick there, OR make a reservation at one of our outrageously good downtown restaurants.

Lawson’s Finest Presents: The First Friday OUTDOOR BEER GARDEN. Stone Church does the slinging and Vermont’s own Lawson’s Finest offers up ice cold beverages in all of Harmony Lot. Cheers!

NEW THIS YEAR

Not everyone wants the MAX hullabaloo of First Friday central, so new this year we have two other spaces to offer.

Big Blanket Super Picnic at Centre Congo Church (Main Street) with designated stroller/senior parking behind the church (first come first served). Think multi-generational picnic vibes- we’ll put out ALL the picnic blankets, plus some tables and chairs because seating can be so nice. Here you can expect some less over-stimulating programming like Andy Davis’s Maypole in May, self-serve diy craft offerings, water play when it’s hot, and who knows what else!

Sucka Punch Lounge (Arch Street) is your friendly analog hang IRL with Sir Baby Girl (DJ) serving up some lofi sounds. Bask in the vibes of the Graffiti Murals, grab an Adirondack chair, unplug, and hang- your nervous system will love it. Take note- Juniper Arts Collective & Sucka Punch Graffiti Jam return this October, details coming soon.

PUBLIC ART WALK

Are you well acquainted with the public art we are lucky enough to have downtown?! Grab a Gallery Walk & First Friday Program (coming late April) and use the map to get to walking and enjoy a tour of several of our most prominent installations: The High Street Mural, Pliny Park Mosaic Mural, Spark Street Electric Boxes, Harmony Lot Murals + Chickensaurus Rex, Ask The River (Brattleboro Transpo Center), Sucka Punch: Graffiti Jam.

Art + Community makes magic, every time. We’ll see you Downtown!

Each month 30+ vendors transform Elliot Street into a vibrant marketplace with a wide array of unique and eclectic goods. Find ceramics, jewelry, cards + prints, natural medicinal, home goods, clothing, plants + flowers, and more!

Community Organization Tabling

Community groups and organizations come out to get in on the fun, and share what they’re up to! With up to 5 community-based orgs set up at First Friday, each table also presents their own activity or artistic component.
