A Town Wide Celebration of Small Scenes with Big Imagination

From Thanksgiving weekend through Christmas 2025, Brattleboro storefronts will be transformed into magical miniature scenes.

Inspired by the classic holiday window displays of yore (think 5th Avenue with a Vermont twist), this town-wide exhibit will charm holiday shoppers, model train  lovers, tiny-furniture fanatics, kids with noses pressed to glass, and basically anyone with a delight for the unexpected.

Every window is a doorway into a local business filled with warmth, talent, and heart!

Come to Brattleboro any weekend in December to experience gingerbread barn and miniature cooking-making contests at the Retreat Farm, Mad Hatter Tea Parties and Model Train displays at the Brattleboro Museum and Art Center, Interactive programs from the Brattleboro Food Co-Op, the Brooks Memorial Library and more.

Magnificent Dollhouse created by over 100 local artists. Facade of a Victorian-style dollhouse that is green with bluish roof tiles and purple accents.

At the Heart of it All: A Magnificent Dollhouse

In the Mitchell Giddings Fine Arts Window…

Meet our newly refurbished 3-foot-tall Victorian showstopper, soon to be filled with 100+ handcrafted works from local artisans:

  • teensy pottery
  • teenier paintings
  • the teeniest, hand-blown glass you’ve ever seen
  • woven rugs, stitched quilts, miniature baskets and furniture—all lovingly local

Even better? This one-of-a-kind dollhouse will be auctioned off, with proceeds benefiting the Downtown Brattleboro Alliance (DBA – the elves behind all the downtown sparkle).
